DESCRIPTION

This extraordinary Castle’s roots date back 2000 years, therefore making it one of the oldest castles in Italy. It has been inhabited since prehistoric times then used as a Fortress structure in the Roman times for defence as it is on the main route that connected the North of Europe to the Adriatica. It was used for military defence but has thereafter been inhabited by famous leaders of armies and many other glorious leaders, thereafter it was used as a centre for spiritual studies. Now, it has recently been completely restored and brought back to its charm of its glorious days within the walls of the 8 levels hosted in the Castle. In addition, a Spa has been constructed in the oldest wing of the Castle, which offers 3 different types of Spa pools, a gym room, a relax lounge room, a Turkish bath constructed in an ancient Roman structure, a Finnish sauna and a sun bathing terrace.

The Castle gives you numerous possibilities on how you would like to celebrate your dream wedding in Italy. Already hosting your wedding in an ancient castle is the luxurious way of giving yourself and your guests the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy a real wedding in Italy in Royal style, which will be an unforgettable experience for all that attend. You can choose your different areas to have your welcome cocktail reception buffet in one of the marvellous halls or restaurant areas, with their beautiful frescoes, or have it in a garden area. For your sit down wedding meal you can choose the inner courtyard of the Castle, which breathes the atmosphere of way-back-when, where you can also be in easy reach of the area that you choose to have your wedding dance party … and there you and your guests can party and dance until early hours of the morning with no worries about how to get home as the castle and it’s adjacent annexures have plenty of rooms for accommodation.

Ceremony

The Castle gives you the possibility of having your blessing or Symbolic wedding ceremony in its little church. For a Civil wedding ceremony, this can celebrated in the nearby town hall which is within walking distance. If you decide on a Symbolic wedding ceremony or a wedding blessing, you can decide to have it in one of the Castle’s squares, in the private church, in the courtyard, in one of the gardens or in one of the covered areas of the Castle.

Reception

Your wedding reception is the way to party and celebrate your wedding vows with all your guests and is also a very important part of your wedding day in Italy. This venue allows you and everyone that has attended your special day to have enjoy a hearty Italian meal with great wine, where you have numerous outdoor and indoor areas to choose from to dine and dance until morning.

ACCOMMODATION

The Castle offers 80 elegant rooms, suites and apartments located in three different settings: 50 are located in the castle, 16 in the dependance and 14 in the annex.
