Chris Von Martial – Suite personal designer

1. Tell us something about yourself and the brand. 

Hi, my name is Chris von Martial, and I’m a personal designer, offering exclusive made-to-measure suits for men with high standards. I started to study fashion design and pattern making in Paris in 2005. Right after that I immediately started working as a designer with Pronuptia, one of the leading bridal fashion brands.

I’m a young and energetic woman and I soon realized that I have the dream to go my own way with a concept that stands out for individuality and personalized fashion. So I started my brand – CHRIS VON MARTIAL – where I design and offer a wide range of custom made suits. Having started this business my client list grew very quickly, thanks to the high quality and handmade finishing of my suits, but of course also because of my individual style and color coaching that I can give to every client I meet. People like my sense and feminine view on their looks, when I offer to guide them through the large variety of excellent English and Italian fabrics, to help them make their choice. This makes my working method unique and very convenient for my customers.

2. Do you specialize in designing wedding suits or do you also work other ranges in terms of dressing?

Well, my specialties are custom made suits and accessories. I am personally taking care of every single order. From the 1st meeting with the client to understand his or her needs regarding the suit, until the delivery of the garment, I’m making sure that each product will remain 100% as per requirement of my client.

I really like to design suits for special occasions like weddings, because it’s a once in a lifetime event and a very big day for two loving individuals. Everyone wants to look perfect on that specific day. Therefore it’s also a challenge for me to design the suit for the groom that permits him to show his personality and to make him stand out, unique and elegant, among all the guests of the event. So this is why I love to do wedding suits, but it doesn’t mean that I’m less interested in other ranges. I’m always giving my best to design the perfect suit for the perfect occasion, from a daily office and regular business use to representation or red carpet events. My professionalism is the key of made-to-measure garments of clients who continue to be very satisfied.

3. Share with us about your clients. I mean where do you have more clients in Paris or in other areas?

My 10 years’ experience as a designer has helped me in a lot of situations. I work for the different cultures, mentalities and ages. I aim to surprise, to bring joy, to make my clients happy. I always feel the happiness when delivering a suit and receiving a client’s genuine reaction to a completed piece of bespoke art.

Every wedding is unique. Different people, themes, location, weather, but one thing always remains the same it’s happiness and I’m glad to bring in one of the puzzles pieces that makes this day become a part of their life lasting moments putting a bright smile on their faces.

4. Let’s talk about weddings again, which aspects do you like most about designing wedding suits?

5. Are there any aspects that you have improved on after each wedding service?

Actually we always progress in every step of life and we have to admit that we are always in a learning process. Each wedding is different, because all the couples have their very own ideas and tastes. While discussing with them and working for them I learn a lot about what they need for their wedding day.

6. You mentioned to us earlier that you have a unique work method. Would you explain to our readers what it is and why it is beneficiary to clients who want to get their suits done by you?

Yes, definitely I will share all about the method and my way of working. I suggest to every person who is approaching me for their desire to get a custom made garment to fill out the style scout on my webpage. It takes only 1 minute but it permits me to start the designing process immediately and to prepare most efficiently our 1st meeting. I am offering free home/ office/ hotel appointments in order to listen to them and to discuss my designs and take their measurements.

Once the style, fabrics and details are determined, the highly professional team of tailors in my workshop will make the suits and accessories. As soon as these items are ready I will meet the client again for the final fitting. Doing these accurate adjustments allows the person to be more comfortable while wearing his garment. The meetings can be anywhere as per clients’ convenience, he doesn’t have to travel around town. Making the suit takes 3 weeks, doing the adjustments takes one week.
