DESCRIPTION

This magnificent Tower Castle crowning a quaint little Tuscan town dates back to the 13th Century and has a distinctive tower that is one of the defining features of the Villa. The property is rich in history and some parts of the property date back to the Etruscan times. At the top of the driveway through the arched, dramatically lit tunnel you commence your entrance into the past.

The tunnel leads you into an ancient amphitheatre, which is one of the many terraces of the Villa with its nearby charming private swimming pool made of travertine stones, deriving from an ancient roman bridge dismantled in North Africa. The property has several furnished outside areas where you can relax and enjoy the captivating views of olive groves, oak woods, the Mountain and the Umbrian Hills. Inside the villa the antique furniture, paintings and magnificent features have been preserved by the owners who have added modern amenities to provide first class comfortable and informal accommodation with style. The central part of the villa is the 13th Century tower which accommodates five rooms with amazing high ceilings. After a few centuries the tower was complemented by an adjacent villa which was recently restored by the present owner following the true Tuscan tradition with terracotta floors and shuttered windows. The surrounding natural woodland gardens have terraced walking paths and the gardens with meticulously cured lawns have olive and lemon trees every now and again with pretty gravel paths around. The flower beds are filled with roses, irises, geraniums and lavender. There is a raised pergola which is partially shaded and seats approximately 14 people. The gravel courtyard which is lined with cypress trees also has a 14 seating dining area with a hammock. The town, only a few minutes’ walk from the castle offers you the possibility to have everything you need at your disposal.

WEDDINGS

This superb venue gives you an excellent opportunity to celebrate your wedding in one of the beautiful landmarks of Tuscany with the breathtaking Castle and its grounds serving as a picturesque backdrop to frame your important day. The seven double and twin en-suite bedrooms allow you and your close family to have exclusive use of the Venue and the enchanting swimming pool, throughout your stay here both before and after your wedding day. The venue has its own kitchen facilities both in the villa and in the dependence and it also offers the possibility to hire cooks and waiters exclusively for you and the guests accommodated there. The town, only a few minutes from the Villa can accommodate the rest of the guests attending your wedding. There are no problems if you have a larger party of guests as there is more accommodation from the castle.

Ceremony

You can choose either a Civil or Catholic wedding in Italy ceremony, which can be held in the nearby town at walking distance or you can also have a blessing or a symbolic wedding directly on site with the breathtaking view of the tuscan hillsides.

Reception

Your wedding in Italy reception is an important moment of your wedding. In this venue you can choose to have an outdoor wedding reception in the magnificent 13th century ancient amphitheatre with your welcome cocktail reception around the beautiful pool. In case of rain or bad weather you can have your party in a covered room, ideal for special occasions on the lower ground floor of the dependence which has a door leading directly onto one of the paved stone roads of the historical town.

ACCOMMODATION

The venue has two fully equipped kitchens both in the Villa itself and in the dependence. It has central heating, a cd player, a computer for guests’ use, wireless broadband internet, satellite TV with English channels, DVD player, fax machine, children’s toys, safe, pool and sauna.

Ground Floor: main living room which seats 10 people, grand piano, library, fireplace, guest bathroom and well equipped kitchen which leads onto the dining room with views of the swimming pool and garden. First Floor: travertine marble staircase leads onto four large bedrooms, 3 double and 1 twin, all with en-suite bathrooms. Second Floor: flight of stairs leads you into a big library and study room with satellite TV and computer. Here there are three large bedrooms, 2 doubles and 1 twin, all with en-suite bathrooms. Included in the accommodation price is a cleaning service and a welcome dinner. There is a shopping service available on request so that the villa can be stocked on arrival.
