A picturesque hilltop city nestled in the Italian countryside is the location for the wedding of Craig and Ciara planned by Prestige Weddings Italy and photographed by Ekaterina Rousskikh.
This summer wedding seemed like it came right from the pages of every young girl’s fairytale book.
Guests were able to have a real Italian experience as everything is easily within walking distance in Orvieto. The day began with preparations of the couple and their bridal party in the spacious bridal and grooms suits. Just a short walk down the road took the couple to their ceremony in the town of Orvieto along the main corso. The bride was stunning in a crystal adorned formfitting gown and the groom was handsome in his sharp suit. The inside is like stepping back in time with the intricate details of decades past. The ceremony was in the grand estate room adorned with fresco paintings that extend even up to the ceiling and crowned with an enormous crystal chandelier. After the ceremony, guests took part in the wedding photos in the booths of main stage room.
As the day progressed, the bride and groom took a grand stroll as husband and wife down the main street of the city with the city’s residents greeting them from their doorways and all their guests following closely behind.
Soon they arrived at La Domus Orvieto wedding vebnue; an ancient and beautiful private building resting on the cliffs edge. Guests were invited to the private courtyard with stunning cliff’s edge views for cocktail hour. Dinner was served in the loft space inside the building with towering windows and accent lights to set the scene perfectly. Tables were decorated in the tradition Italian style, first with tall majestic candelabras and then with white hydrangea centerpieces and lemons still attached to their foliage.
After dinner, guests were invited once again to the transformed courtyard just as the sun was setting leaving a spectacular view. As night fell, the dance floor lit up with strands of droplights above. Guests enjoyed the on-site bar and large dessert buffet. It was the perfect ending to a perfect wedding day at the La Domus Orvieto wedding venue.

1) How did you and your partner meet?
We met as teenagers in a clothes store where we had weekend jobs during school and university.
2) How did he propose?
We were in SanFrancisco and cycled to Sausalito. He made a video of our time together and at the end of the video he asked me to marry him.
3) Why did you choose Italy as your wedding Location?
We live in Canada and the majority of our family of friends and family live in Ireland. We wanted somewhere in Europe and we have friends in Italy and we had never explored Italy together and wanted to find a new place to fall in love with.
4) Why did you choose La Domus as a wedding venue?
It was in Orvieto, which was important to us, and it had an authenticity to it.
5) In what ways has Orvieto impressed you?
Its location, its character, the food and wine, the history and the setting of the town. It’s beautiful.

9) What advice do you have for future brides and grooms?
Before you get caught up in the planning and meeting other people’s interests and needs. determine what is important to you most in your wedding. That way when you start getting lost in the details or the accumulation of costs, you come back to what’s important to you and that helps you make your decisions.
